CLASS OVERVIEW

The Agile Overview class is a 3-hour session, providing an overview of the history of the Agile Movement, the concepts and principles behind multiple agile frameworks and methodologies pertinent to the PMI-ACP® certification, agile certifications for specific methodologies, and details regarding the PMI-ACP® application and exam process, including tips & recommendations for passing the exam itself.  The class concludes with a question and answer session, allowing attendees to seek advice or ask questions of specific interest to their unique situation.

• Post-attendance understanding of agile methodologies and frameworks regardless of previous agile knowledge and experience

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR - Scott Barnes 

Scott W. Barnes is PMI Memphis’ Director of Agile Programs and a proud volunteer for Memphis PMI. Scott is one of only seven people in the Memphis area who holds both the PMI-ACP® and PMP® certifications. In addition, he also holds the Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and finalizing his Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) designations with the Scrum Alliance. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Mississippi State University and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.

In addition to volunteering with numerous local charities, Scott is also a volunteer instructor for Memphis PMI’s PMP® Exam Prep Course and is one of the architects of the newly announced partnership between PMI Memphis and GR8PM to bring PMI-ACP® training to the Mid-South area.
